Swiss director Francois Gremaud

François Gremaud directs the contemporary dancer Samantha Van Wissen at the Théâtre de la Bastille. Accompanied by a trio of musicians, she tells us about Giselle, but also the history of classical ballet in a tender and funny performance at the same time.

François Gremaud, Swiss actor and director, is interested in great tragic heroines. After Phèdre de Racine, he leans on Giselle. In a writing that is his own, didactic but at the same time very erudite and imbued with humour, his shows are thus within the reach of everyone, from the simple schoolboy to the great theater lover.
