This spring, the German ARD and the American New York Times revealed that a total of 23 Chinese swimmers tested positive for doping before the 2021 Olympics, but that they still got to go to the games in Tokyo – and there three won gold.
The revelation has created strong reactions ahead of the upcoming Olympics in Paris, where China has sent eleven swimmers.
The International Swimming Federation announced recently that the Chinese Olympic swimmers when the Olympics start will have been tested at least eight times from the start of the year, and now it seems that the doping tests are in full swing.
The Chinese team’s nutritionist Yu Liang has, according to several foreign media, written on the social media platform Weibo that the Chinese swimming team’s 31 swimmers during the first ten days had to undergo nearly 200 doping tests, carried out by the International Testing Agency.
However, after the post was noticed, it has been deleted from Weibo.
