The last of Taylor Swift’s concerts at the Friends arena in Solna came to an end just before 11pm on Sunday night – again packed with 60,000 in the audience for the third night in a row.
It’s the first time Swift is touring in Sweden, something she addressed right before the popular ten-minute version of the song “All too well”:
I’ve been touring since I was twelve and love it. But one thing I regret is that we didn’t come here to Stockholm every tour, she said in front of the boiling arena.
Tribute to Max Martin
On Sunday, the Swedish super producer and songwriter Max Martin was also in the audience. He has worked with her on three of her albums: “Red”, “1989” and “Reputation”.
In 2012, my life changed for the better when I started working with Swedish Max Martin. “He’s here tonight but he’s a shy person, but I thought I’d do a Max Martin medley,” Swift said to cheers from the crowd.
Swift’s world tour “The Eras tour” began in March last year. It is Swift’s sixth in the series and spans five continents. It has already broken several records – including being the highest-grossing tour ever, with revenues to date exceeding ten billion dollars.
Portugal next
Each concert on the tour is over three hours long and divided into different segments representing Swift’s ten studio albums. The tour, which has consistently received favorable reviews, has dominated the popular culture news feed since its inception and in the countries where it has made an impact, the economy and tourism have received a boost.
The next stop on the European leg of the tour is Portugal, with Swift stopping in Lisbon for two concerts.
