The Polish Iga Swiatek firmly retains the lead in the WTA ranking published on Monday August 8 ahead of the Estonian Anett Kontaveit and the Spaniard Paula Badosa, new world number 3 in place of the Greek Maria Sakkari. Swiatek, 21, has almost double the points compared to her runner-up (8396 against 4476). Crowned Sunday in San Jose, the Russian Daria Kasatkina, up three places, obtained the best ranking of her career, and is now in 9th place. Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur is ranked fifth.
