The Polish world setter has invited several current and former sports stars to the event in Krakow on July 23. Secondly, a match in mixed doubles with the Ukrainian Serhij Stachovskyj, compatriot Martin Pawelski and compatriot Agniezka Radwanska. Partly a loner in single with Radwanska.
Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, who has taken a break from her tennis career due to the war, will be the referee in both matches. Ukrainian football legend Andrei Shevchenko will also take part in the event, Iga Swiatek announced in a post on Twitter.
“The total proceeds from the event will be donated to support children and teenagers affected by the war in Ukraine,” the 21-year-old wrote in the post.
Iga Swiatek is in the second round of the women’s singles tournament at Wimbledon, which runs until next week.
