Sweet Dreams was already the leading contender for the prestigious film and series awards with eight nominations. In addition to the award for Best Film, Sweet Dreams also won in the categories Best Camera, Best Costume Design and Best Direction. Actors Renée Soutendijk (Best Leading Role Feature Film) and Florian Myjer (Best Supporting Role Feature Film) also received prizes. The film was also nominated in the categories of Best Editing and Best Screenplay, but those awards went to the films Kiddo and El Houb.
