Swedish WC places at stake in Les Rousses

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Star Frida Karlsson is not in the squad that runs World Cup competitions in Les Rousses, France, from Friday to Sunday.

The 23-year-old is still recovering from a cold and according to national team manager Anders Byström, the plan is for her to be back on track when it’s time for Toblach.

For Byström’s WC puzzle, Karlsson’s absence does not play a major role.

She is given.

However, it is not entirely clear who she will bring with her to Slovenia.

It will be decided in Les Rousses, when the squad is drawn on January 31.

“We have an exciting weekend ahead of us in France with decisive competitions for skaters who want to take a place in the WC squad,” says national team manager Anders Byström in a press release.

Those chasing a WC place include Linn Svahn, Anna Dyvik, Jens Burman and Marcus Grate.

Ebba Andersson is back in the World Cup after a period of illness. Calle Halfvarsson and Moa Ilar are over the weekend’s competitions and plan – just like Frida Karlsson – to be back again in Toblach.
