Swedish two-goal shooters decided in the NHL

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Boston, with Linus Ullmark in goal, led 2–0 on downs in the third period. Then Adrian Kempe stepped forward, scored two goals, and took the game to overtime.

Linus Ullmark saved 27 shots in Boston’s goal, one of which came from Kempe in overtime. After a scoreless overtime, the match was decided on penalties.

— It takes a lot of character to come back from a two-goal deficit, says Los Angeles goalkeeper Pheonix Copley after the game, who himself stopped 33 shots before the shootout.

John Klingberg also scored two goals in last night’s meeting between Anaheim and Montreal.

Klingberg extended Anaheim’s lead to 2–0 in the first period, 28 seconds after teammate Troy Terry scored the game’s first goal.

In the third period, Montreal’s Cole Caufield both reduced and equalized to make it 2–2. Then Klingberg stepped forward again and regained the lead. The match ended 5–2 to Anaheim, which thus broke a nine-game losing streak.
