Swedish super billionaire buys English football team

Most recently as Nyheter24 wrote about Karl-Johan Persson so it was around his and his family’s huge fortune – the largest in Sweden.

He is worth roughly 17.2 billion Swedish kronor.

Now perhaps Sweden’s richest animal keeper has gone and bought himself into his own football club.

It will not be entirely its own. But he becomes a co-owner, writes The business world which refer to other sources. He is a co-owner of what is called the Nordic Football Group, which includes investors from all over the Nordics.

One of the investors is Erik Karlsson, NHL pro for the Pittsburgh Penguins. It writes The evening paper.

In addition, Persson has invested in the agent company Wesport, the newspaper writes.

No price tag

It has not been reported how much the football club cost Nordic Football Group, which has now bought Burton Albion.

The team plays in League 1 in England and came this year in 20th place.
