The last day of the Biathlon World Cup in German Oberhof ended in a brilliant way for the Swedish men.
In a highly dramatic mass start competition in many ways, Sebastian Samuelsson took gold and Martin Ponsiluoma silver, just ahead of the Norwegian Johannes Thingnes Bø, who led before the final shooting but who, due to a boom, lost the initiative to the Swedes.
– It is historically large. They just drive. I really have no words anymore, says coach Johannes Lukas in SVT’s broadcast.
Sunday’s super race means that Sweden has now taken a total of ten medals in the championship – the best Swedish result ever.
