Swedish soldiers have been fired upon in Mali. No Swedes were injured, writes the Swedish Armed Forces in a press release.
On Monday, the Swedish shooting company, which is part of the UN operation Minusma, was fired upon. The company is now back at its camp in Gao.
In July, the company ended up in battle in the same area in which it was now being shelled.
“Our operations are carried out in areas where violent extremists have great control and that is exactly where we are needed the most,” says contingent leader Christofer Lennings in a comment.
