Now she gives new information about which sport she wants to bet on.
Only 17 years old, many are talking about Elsa Tänglander. She is an extraordinary skiing talent and belongs to the world elite in two different sports.
Tänglander’s choice
Tänglander has won gold in cross-country skiing at the Youth Olympics and also JVM gold in biathlon, it is an impressive feat that no one else has managed. But the great success in two different sports has resulted in a very difficult choice for the teenager.

Last spring, it was announced that Elsa would choose the national biathlon team instead of the national cross-country team. But now she can change sports again.
Elsa gives notice
Now the 17-year-old gives new information about her future and which sport she wants to choose.
– I want to compete in both as much as possible, then it is clear that one of my big goals is the JVM in biathlon in Östersund. So it’s probably good to do some biathlon before then, she tells SVT.

Elsa Tänglander has not closed any doors to a future in cross-country skiing yet.
– I have also met the junior coach there and tuned in a bit and I know what I need to do this winter to qualify for bigger competitions so I have good contact, she says in the interview.
Run the IBU Cup
Above all, the Swedish skiing talent is aiming to compete in the domestic Bauhaus Cup in cross country, while she hopes to compete in the IBU Cup in biathlon. The decision to compete in two different sports is supported by her coach.
– They are very supportive and try to help me make a good plan for the winter, says Elsa to the TV channel.

The plan is to continue with two sports until she graduates from high school in about two and a half years. Then Tänglander has to make a decision about which sport she wants to devote herself wholeheartedly to.
