Swedish skiing star forgot his number tag in the toilet and was afraid of rejection – “I’m ashamed”

Swedish skiing star forgot his number tag in the toilet

Emma Ribom’s return to the skiing world cup became really stressful. He lost his number tag before the sprint final in Livigno.

At the Skiing World Cup in Livigno, Italy, we saw a special situation before the women’s sprint final. Winner of the first two sprint races of the season Emma Ribom shouted in frustration in the starting area. He realized he had forgotten his license plate.

– There was a little panic when I noticed the number plate was missing two minutes before departure. I didn’t know if I could compete, Ribom said According to Aftonbladet, for Viaplay (you switch to another service).

Ribom later realized that the number plate had been forgotten in the toilet.

– I’m ashamed. You can’t forget the license plate. This needs to be digested. I will never forget the number plate again, Ribom told himself.

The 25-year-old skier received a warning about the situation, but was allowed to compete. Ribom was involved in securing a triple victory for the Swedes. For him, the race was the first in the World Cup since the victory in Lillehammer at the beginning of December.

Also returned from a long competition break Jonna Sundling won and Maja Dahqvist was another. Linn Svahn completed the handsome Swedish day with his fifth place. Ribom said that he was proud of his result, because forgetting the number plate was really stressful.

– To be honest, I was thinking about the falling number plate of the final skiing and it was not nice. It was not a good thing, Ribom said.

In the men’s sprint Johannes Hösflot Kläbo was forced by the French Richard Jouvea against. However, Kläbo was barely stronger at the end.

– Jouve was strong. This is a tough competition. If lactic acid enters the muscles, meters will be lost immediately. Fortunately, I was able to win. I felt that I was able to give pressure throughout the race, Kläbo said to Viaplay according to VG (you switch to another service).

There are no Finns participating in the competition in Livigno, because at the same time the SC ski championships are being competed in Tampere.
