“Cost-effectiveness in the long run”
– The recycling means that less virgin raw material is needed, at the same time as the incineration is reduced. Emissions are reduced in several stages. Many of these projects also provide increased cost-effectiveness in the long run, despite the fact that large investments are initially required, says Carl Mikael Strauss, head of Klimatklivet’s industrial unit, in a press release.
The company’s CEO, Mattias Philipsson, says that the support from Klimatklivet enables an investment in a sorting line where plastic that has accidentally, or ignorantly, ended up in the household waste can be sorted out.
