Swedish NHL star Elias Lindholm is forced out of the Calgary Flames – here is the new NHL team

The NHL team Calgary trades its Swedish star forward Elias Lindholm to Vancouver, reports nhl.com.
Vancouver’s Swedish general manager Patrik Allvin believes that Lindholm will lift the whole team.

In exchange for 29-year-olds Elias Lindholm gets Calgary Andrei Kuzmenko and Hunter Brzustewicz and Joni Jurmo.
“By signing Elias Lindholm, we feel that we are improving our team enormously. He has proven that he is a first-string player and will give our coach Rick Tocchet a little more opportunity when he has to mold our two top chains”, commented Vancouver’s Swedish general manager Patrick Allvin on the team’s website.

Elias Lindholm has scored 32 points (nine goals and 23 assists) in the 49 games he has played this season with Calgary.

The current season was Lindholm’s sixth with Calgary. In recent seasons, he has scored goals, but this season it has gone a little worse.
