Then Alexander Steen takes over as general manager of the NHL team St Louis.

Now the Swede will soon have blue and yellow company in the NHL role.
Steen’s new job
Alexander Steen will be given the same role at his former club St Louis, where he played from 2008-2021 and led to Stanley Cup victory in 2018-2019, but before the 40-year-old takes office, he will be sidelined Doug Armstrong for two years.
– I am incredibly excited about moving back to St. Louis. I came here for the first time in 2008 and immediately felt welcomed by the city and the people, Steen told the club’s website.

Before last season, Alexander Steen was given the role of player developer and advisor in the St. Louis organization.
“Best for the team”
Now he will initially be assistant general manager.
– I go back to his values, which have always been about the team. What’s best for the team, not what’s best for him, Armstrong said.
– He understood that if the team was to succeed, it was crucial to let go of some of his own things.

Doug Armstrong has been in St. Louis since 2008 and became general manager two years later.
After the next two years, Armstrong becomes the club’s president.
