Swedish microbrewery goes bankrupt after 33 years

On February 11, a Swedish microbrewery applied for bankruptcy, after keeping the business up since the 1990s. It is one in the line of companies that, because of the pandemic, ended up in the economy.

The microbrewery has had several different alcoholic beverages for sale at Systembolaget, including IPA, warehouse and pilsner.

Grebbestad Brewery in bankruptcy

It is Grebbestad Brewery that has gone bankrupt, something that Bohuslänningen Be the first to report. The Swedish microbrewery has been around for 33 years.

After the pandemic, the brewery was started by, among other things, contributed capital, which would cost them expensive.

– Just as many other companies have experienced, this company has also been faced with repayment requirements that there was no solution to, says the bankruptcy manager Erik M Gabrielssonto the newspaper.

He is now looking for a buyer.
