A Swedish man has died in eastern Ukraine. This is confirmed by the Swedish Armed Forces, where the man has previously been employed.
SVT writes that the man, who turned 28 years old, previously worked at the air flotilla in Uppsala. He is said to have arrived in eastern Ukraine a couple of months ago and died as a result of fighting on the Donetsk front.
Last week, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched the Telegram app, saying that five Swedes have been killed by Russian forces in fighting. The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs then said that they had not received any information about deceased Swedes.
