The former football star Harry Bild is dead.
The Öster legend, who was awarded the Golden Ball in 1963, fell asleep in his home in Växjö on Thursday evening, Öster writes on his website.
“Harry Bild had a fantastic football career behind him in both Sweden and abroad. He also had a successful national team career and was awarded with several different awards over the years,” writes the club.
Harry Image broke through in IFK Norrköping where he won four SM gold before becoming a professional abroad, first in Swiss FC Zürich and then in Feyenoord in the Dutch league.

At the end of the 1960s, he returned home to Sweden and the East, where he helped win the Allsvenskan again in 1968.
He played 28 A international matches in which he scored 13 goals. Harry Bild was 88 years old.
