— The thefts concern the type of goods that can go east. These are goods that can be suspected of being in short supply there. Even if it is not about theft of military material, it is goods that can be used militarily, says Johan Sjöberg to TT.
He does not want to further define how what was stolen could have a connection to the war in Ukraine.
“There are several indications that give rise to that suspicion,” he says.
The thefts have taken place via break-ins at different companies and in different parts of the country.
Primarily, it is purely industrial companies that have been affected by the thefts, according to Svenskt Näringsliv, which Today’s industry be the first to tell.
– We have seen that the thefts have been clearly synchronized in periods and that they have involved large volumes, says Johan Sjöberg.
He urges all types of companies to be extra vigilant.
