The man is in custody while he is out in Sweden, suspected of, among other things, incitement to attempted murder and aggravated weapons offences, and was arrested in Halkidiki. Documents seen by Ekot show that he is also suspected of several crimes in Greece in connection with the arrest.
The man is aged 25 and has been described as a leader within organized crime in Stockholm. Among other things, he had false identification documents on him and a gun, ammunition and cannabis in his home.
It is unclear whether the entire sentence will be served in Greece or Sweden.
– The important thing for us is that he is deprived of his liberty and cannot continue his business. If it then takes time for us to get him here, I don’t see it as a major problem, says Mats Ihlbom, prosecutor in the Swedish case, to the radio.
