Swedish factory closes moves to Poland

Hydra Specma is a company that manufactures large pipes for industrial operations, they have their production in several locations in Sweden and in the rest of Europe.

The factory closes in Sweden

But now they will close their factory in Tranemo. The employees in the factory have been told that the factory should instead be moved to Poland, which also Today’s Ps reported on.

– It was no happy atmosphere, but at the same time expected. Production has been moved from Tranemo to the factory in Poland before and we have arrived after machine purchases, says an employee of the company to Borås Tidning.

In Poland, production is cheaper than in Sweden.

Yet unclear what happens to the staff

Hydra Specma’s Deputy CEO Markus Wallin believes that the move is because they have a global market and need to secure competition.

The future of the staff at the Swedish factory is still unclear, the Deputy CEO believes that there are clay possible solutions.

The factory in Tranemo has been around since the 1970s.
