The production of the well -known margarine Flora will no longer take place in the factory in Helsingborg that has been responsible for production since 1968, it reports Helsingborgs Dagblad.

Flora stops being manufactured in Sweden
Flora, which is currently owned by the Flora Food Group (formerly Upfield), was the first to offer a margarine that was spreadable directly from the fridge, and the topping quickly became a great success on the breakfast table in the 1970s.
Sales have now decreased drastically, which is why the factory in Helsingborg is closed down for good.

It is not only flora that is affected by this change, even light and Becel, which is also owned by the Flora Food Group, will be affected. Flora Food Group has decided to also move the production of these products from Sweden to other factories in Europe.

Will continue to be sold
Despite the closure, both flora, light and Becel will continue to be sold in Swedish stores. At present, however, you do not know whether the transfer of production will affect the taste, quality and price. Foods produced further afield sometimes risk losing taste and nutritional value before reaching consumers.
