Swedish actors photograph and film sex to circumvent sex crime laws

SVT Nyheter has reviewed the sex and porn film industry and has been in contact with several people who have knowledge and experience of prostitution and pornography. It turns out that people take photos and videos in connection with the purchase of sex, in the belief that it will then be legal.

In a 2022 Court of Appeal ruling, a man was acquitted of pimping after a business arrangement with the woman whose sexual services he sold. To investigate whether there are similar actors, we register a profile – “Peter” – on the sex forum Rosa side. He wants to buy sex but is afraid of getting caught.

Offered to pay

We find an ad from a woman offering “anonymous sex photos” with her.

“Understand that it’s nice to avoid the risk of being prosecuted for violating the Sex Purchase Act,” she writes in an email.

We meet the woman and a man in a hotel room. They claim to be married and want SEK 3,000 in cash for a photo session with blowjobs.

The couple did not want to be interviewed after our meeting.

As the sex buyer “Peter”, we also contact a major porn film producer. On his website, participation is advertised as “a way to make money quickly”, for both women and men. But when we ask how much it costs to shoot a movie with a pretty girl, the producer wonders what Peter can think of paying.

Claims it was the first time

After answering that we can imagine paying SEK 3,000-4,500 for a good scene, we are offered to pay SEK 5,000 to make a film.

The man wants SEK 1,000 in advance payment on Swish.

“Pay the remaining amount discreetly to me without the girl or anyone else seeing it,” he writes.

After the meeting with a hidden camera, SVT has asked the man for a taped interview, but only receives responses via email. He writes that he always pays men who are in the porn videos and that this was the first time he was paid.

Have you also bought or sold sex in a similar arrangement? Feel free to tip SVT Nyheter’s investigative reporters.
