Swedes prefer to travel here in the summer – according to the travel giant

Going on a holiday in the sun is something most people look forward to treating themselves to from time to time. But where do the Swedes really go?

This has been reported by the travel company Tui for the summer of 2023, and the Mediterranean area dominates. Despite the tougher economic climate in recent times, an increase of 38 percent has been seen in summer bookings compared to the same period last year.

    “Swedes really love Greece with its beautiful surroundings and fantastic food culture, and many travelers return year after year. But this year we see classic Mediterranean destinations such as Crete, Cyprus and Mallorca being challenged by smaller Greek islands as well as affordable destinations such as Turkey, Bulgaria and Montenegro,” says Adam GyorkiNordic communications manager at Tui in the press release.
