The prince of the only son of Kaarlen Kustaa Carl Philip’s born in 1979, he was destined to become king. However, the law determining the order of inheritance was changed in 1980, as a result of which Carl Philip’s older sister from Victoria became the crown princess.

– Retroactive laws are not wise in my opinion, I still think so, Kaarle Kustaa says in the documentary.
