On Tuesday, Sweden’s first national call center for young trans people will open.
It is the association Transammans that opens a digital reception where young people can turn to for free call support.
Young trans people are at a higher risk of suffering from mental illness and Transammans believes that the pressure on reception will be high:
– We hope that it will be able to help by providing support, but also so that you will hopefully feel more secure and comfortable with yourself, says Tom Summanen, operations director of Transammans.
