TV profile Tucker Carlson is leaving American Fox News, the channel announces in one press release. The news comes shortly after Fox News and vote counting company Dominion reached a multi-billion dollar settlement noticed target.
According to Fox News, the parties have agreed to part ways and no official reason has yet been presented.
“We thank him for his work as host of the channel,” the press release reads.
Tucker Carlson’s final show as host on Fox was on Friday, April 21, the channel said.
The resignation comes shortly after Fox News and vote-counting company Dominion reached a settlement in a case in which Carlson and several other Fox News employees testified.

Dominion Voting Systems claimed it knew then-President Donald Trump’s claims of voter fraud were untrue — but continued to air them on its shows.
To avoid a lawsuit, Fox must pay Dominion Voting Systems 787.5 million dollars (about 8.1 billion Swedish kronor).
Carlson became Fox’s most popular profile after replacing Bill O’Reilly in the channel’s primetime show in 2016 and has become known for being controversial — such as the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
The media company Fox is owned by media magnate Rupert Murdoch and is led by his son Lachlan Murdoch.
