The April weather showed its true face between Saturday and Sunday in many parts of the country.
– It’s actually the year’s first real setback for spring, says TV4’s meteorologist Leon Lee.
In several parts of the country, the weather has taken a complete turn – from glorious sunshine and record heat to snow storms and rough cold. Among other things, a football match in Sundsvall had to be canceled due to heavy snowfall.
– There have been great contrasts, Leon Lee.
Meteorologists have been warning for several days that the fine weather would turn and now the low pressure will linger for a while.
– Tomorrow we have another snow warning in northern Värmland and southern Jämtland. There can be up to ten centimeters of fresh snow in places, says the meteorologist.
Then the weather can turn
Leon Lee believes that we are in an unstable period, which usually characterizes the month of April.
– Several low pressures and fronts will come in, both with rain and snow.
Only at Valborg can you count on a possible turn to the warmer weather.
– Until Walborg weekend, it’s a battle between the cold and the warm air from the southwest, but it’s hard to say exactly how it will turn out, says Leon Lee.
