Fredriksson the teddy bear is perhaps Sweden’s most famous toy – and a real cultural treasure. But how much is it worth? In Exchange is exchange, we get the answer.
– Grandfather would think it’s a big win, says Malin Berghagen.

The actor and artist Malin Berghagen appears in Exchange is exchange with a real national treasure: Teddy bear Fredriksson. And the contestants, Anders and Ebba Bubb from Nacka, want to know more about the toy.

– My father got it when he was four years old, just like the song says. Then I got it when it was four years old. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to keep it for long because the more popular the song became, the more dad became worried that I would destroy it, she says in the program.

It is precisely this bear that the well-known and popular song “Teddybjörnen Fredriksson” is about. The song was written by Malin’s father Lasse Berghagen.

– This is perhaps Sweden’s most famous toy, states antiques expert Li Pamp.

That’s how much Fredriksson the teddy bear is worth: “Sweden’s most famous toy”

That’s how much it’s worth

Despite Teddy Bear Fredriksson’s impressive history, Anders and Ebba Bubb choose to send the toy out – they think a tapestry made by Annie Frykholm is worth more.

And it turns out to be the right decision. The teddy bear is worth 10,000 kroner, one of the lower sums you can win in the Byt is byt program.

– But not everything can be valued in money, says presenter Renée Nyberg after the announcement.

She notes that Teddy Bear Fredriksson is, after all, a national treasure and has a high emotional value, which Malin Berghagen agrees with:

– If grandfather was here, he would have thought it was a huge profit for what he bought it for.
