Sweden has got its first unisex folk costume, where male and female ideals are woven together.
– A combination of the Greek variant and Irish kilt, the artist Fredy Clue describes the non-binary “Bäckadräkten”, which was created together with the illustrator and artist Ida Björs.
This summer, the folk costume will be presented in an exhibition at the Textile Museum in Borås. After that, Fredy Clue hopes that it can become a new part of the Swedish folk costume tradition.
