Sweden defeated Montenegro – clear group winners

– It feels fantastic. We have had a fantastic championship so far. First goal completed, says Nathalie Hagman to SVT Sport.

Early in the second half, Sweden led by six goals (19-13) and looked to be heading for a sure victory.

A brief spell of sloppiness and a reawakened opposing team saw Montenegro creep closer.

But in Sweden there are several players of class. One of them is Nathalie Hagman. The experienced winger was the driving force in what became Sweden’s move.

Set against Germany

Her assist for 24-21 was the highlight of the match and Linn Blohm was able to put the ball in the back of the net. After that, Sweden could exhale and walk away. Hagman landed on six targets.

– I would have taken a shot in the first but the second half feels good. It was fun to play, I enjoy playing handball, says Hagman.

24-21 was soon 29-22 and victory was at hand.

The win means that Sweden wins group 3 and faces Germany.

– We have a great chance to win.
