Ebba Andersson had a tough World Cup weekend in Holmenkollen.
The World Cup queen was washed last Saturday-and Sweden has submitted a written appeal to the International Ski Association.
– Unfortunately, it is a bit hard that I think I will be punished here, she tells the Sports Bible.
After its incredible display in Norway just over a week ago was Ebba Andersson27, back in the country already the weekend after. In Holmenkollen, however, things did not go as well as in Trondheim for the triple gold medalist.
Ebba Andersson’s view of the washing
In Sunday, Ebba came four and missed the pod just. Last Saturday she actually came third, but was washed after the race because the jury thought she was skating in a place in the race that went in a classic style. Afterwards, Andersson received questions about how she experienced it all.
– Cursed. What has happened is that I have been assigned a yellow card because the jury means that I have taken a skate cut too much out there on the track in connection with the fact that I have stood outside the track and I myself have a completely different view of that event, she tells the overall press, including the sports cable.

She was absolutely convinced that she had not done anything wrong. She had seen the event on video afterwards and stuck to her opinion.
– I’ve seen the video, absolutely, and it reinforces my own experience. It is really that my ski leaves minimal and I quickly take it back in the right direction without pushing it in any direction and really only continues forward in the classic technology we are here to go today. And they mean that to be seen as a skate cutter. And since I am assigned a yellow card and have one with me before, there will be washing on it.
Ebba Andersson wants to change the rules
Above all, she feels distributed. It was not only she who staked in the way the jury thought was wrong.
– It’s not just me who has stood outside the track today, so unfortunately it is a bit hard that I think I will be punished here, she says.

When asked if she thinks that FIS (the International Ski Association) needs to review the regulations, she is clear.
– Obviously, you have to look at how you handle it if it should be at this level that you should not even be able to pair to possibly go over if the ski sticks away as it did for me, then it is tough. Then it becomes difficult to know how to take on skiing, she says firmly.
Sweden appeals against the decision against Ebba
The Swedish team on site made an appeal directly against the jury’s decision. It was unfortunately rejected. The Swedish Ski Federation has therefore submitted a written appeal to FIS.
– We make an assessment together that is very clear. We do not think that Ebba has committed a violation of the regulations. That is why we want to appeal and have this tried at a higher instance, says the length manager Lars Öberg to Sportbladet.
The appeal had to be sent within 48 hours of the competition taking place.
– It is me who has submitted it after consultation with Pernilla Farmer (Secretary General of the Swedish Ski Association). A minute ago we sent it to FIS. FIS will look at it and we will get an answer in some way, says Öberg during Saturday night.
