A Swedish man with connections to the criminal Foxtrot network has been arrested in Egypt’s capital Cairo, Aftonbladet reports.

“The Foreign Ministry can confirm that a Swedish man in his 40s has been detained in Cairo,” writes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in an email to the newspaper.

According to Aftonbladet, Egyptian police attacked the man following an international arrest warrant from Finland, where the arrested person is suspected of drug-related crime.

According to the newspaper, the man is a native of Uppsala, has previously been convicted of, among other things, drug offenses and is said to have worked for the Foxtrot network.
