The recent weather has been characterized by heat waves, rain and thunder. But that is about to turn around. Typical Swedish summer weather is expected this week.
– From now on it will be mostly calm, fairly normal Swedish summer weather, says SVT’s meteorologist Tora Tomasdottir.
It will be sunny
It will be warmest in the south and southeast as usual and cooler in the north with temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees. But it can also drop below five degrees at night.
– In the south it can be up to 25 degrees on Sunday, says Tora Tomasdottir.
The clouds will spread, but there is a good chance that the sun will come out.
– It will probably be sunniest both in central and southern Norrland, but also in the southeast.
There may also be some showers, especially in the mountains and along the coast in the south.
– But as I said, it’s just normal classic Swedish summer weather.
Summer is not over
Although we are now in a milder summer period, Tora Tomasdottir does not think that the summer weather is coming to an end.
– From Thursday it will be quite calm with variable cloudiness, not very hot but not very cold and no large amounts of rain. It looks like this at least over the weekend and at the beginning of next week, she says and continues:
– There is still a long way to go in the summer. This weather will last for a while but there will surely be a warm period again. The water is warm and you will be able to continue swimming.
