SVT’s Lucia train is broadcast from Kalmar castle

This year’s Lucia Alma Alvunger will also be joined by, among others, the Hagbysånglingarna, which is the name of this year’s charming children’s choir.

Doyho Sol, on lutes, and Emelie Roos on recorders, form Duo SolRoos.

– This year’s Luciamorgon is a fine example of what we want to highlight in the holiday concerts – talented singers and musicians from the local area. Kalmar Cathedral’s youth choir, Duo SolRoos and the string quartet from Camerata Nordica to name a few – high-class music performed here in a historic setting, says Marion Jernråda, executive producer.

Electrical artists from Kalmar cultural school

Also participating is a string quartet from the chamber orchestra Camerata Nordica, which together with fire artists from Kalmar Kulturskola perform, among other things, “Carol of the Bells” next to the moat with the castle as a backdrop.

Vocal soloist is Ida “Adée” Olsson who together with guitarist Ulf “Bitte” Appelqvist gives us “Heaven in my arms”. Adée also performs Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” with Swedish text together with the string quartet.
