When the preliminary election results were presented on Sunday evening, the Social Democrats were hot on the heels of the Collection Party – 20.7 to 20.8.
A little later in the evening, it became clear that the True Finns will overtake the Social Democrats and become Finland’s second largest party. When the election night was over, the Samlingspartiet had 20.8 percent, the True Finns 20.1 and the Social Democrats 19.6.
– This is of course something that causes a lot of concern on the left, says SVT’s Finland correspondent Liselott Lindström.
