While Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was in Russia for a meeting with Vladimir Putin and Brics, an attack occurred on a large defense industrial complex outside Ankara.
The attack coincides with rising tensions over a new proposal to start peace talks with the Kurdish terrorist organization PKK – which Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya claims is behind Wednesday’s attack.
– PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan has been invited to speak in the Turkish parliament. It is something of an earthquake in Turkish politics, says SVT’s Turkey correspondent Tomas Thorén.
