In September 2023, the recordings of this year’s Christmas calendar in SVT started. Last year’s Christmas calendar, which had the title “Trolltider – the legend of the Bergatrollet”, in other words, had not even premiered yet.
Now, over a year later, the 2024 Christmas calendar “Snödrömmar” will soon start on SVT.
– I am convinced that “Snow Dreams” will enchant the whole family, has Anna Cronemanprogram manager for drama at SVT, told SVT Sápmi earlier.

Reactions to the 2024 Christmas calendar
The other day, SVT shared a sneak peek at this year’s Christmas calendar. In a 1 minute and 39 second long video clip, which the channel shared on Facebook, you could see a selection of scenes from the calendar.
And people were not slow to like what little they got to see of the Christmas calendar. However, opinions differed quite a bit. This is what some of those who seem to be looking forward to this year’s calendar write:
“This looks really good! Not going to shout hello yet, but gets vibes of new classic potential – like Trolltider and Greveholm in one (sequels excluded). Looks well done and exciting. Reasonable theme too.”
“Wonderfully beautiful cheer for our indigenous people the Sami.”
“So beautiful to lift Sweden’s indigenous population and worldview, see great potential.”
“This is going to be exciting…”
“Oh so exciting!!”

Others seem less convinced. This is how some write:
“I didn’t get a Christmas calendar feeling at all, so boring!”
“Will be dusting off old classics again this year…”
“No, thanks.”

It simply remains to be seen how the Christmas calendar will be received when it premieres on December 1!
