SVT/Verian: After the EU election – KD is increasing in public opinion

Only a week ago, Statistics Sweden published an opinion poll which showed that KD has voter support of 2.3 percent, the worst figure ever in a Statistics Sweden survey. SVT/Verian’s latest survey instead shows that the party gets 4.6 percent.

– Our June survey is one of the first to include both the last week of the election campaign and a full week after the election. That distinguishes Verian’s measurement from other opinion polls that have been released recently, says Per Söderpalm, head of opinion at Verian.

The Liberals continued under the blockade

The Liberals’ survival in the European Parliament does not reflect the opinion figures before the parliamentary elections. The party gets 3.3 percent.

    – It is the 19th survey in a row that the party is below four percent, notes Per Söderpalm.

Since Amanda Lind took over as spokesperson and the EU election campaign got under way, the Green Party has increased its support ahead of the parliamentary elections. In June, the party received 5.6 percent, a significant increase since April when the party received 4.5 percent.

The Left Party gets 8.5 percent, an increase of 1.7 percentage points compared to the 2022 parliamentary election.

    S and SD

Both the Social Democrats and the Sweden Democrats have lost voter support in 2024.

S gets 32.7 percent in June, which is the lowest rating since after the 2022 election.

SD receives 18.9 percent of voter support, which is the party’s lowest figure since August 2023.

    M and C

During all of the year’s measurements, the Center Party has oscillated between 4.0 and 4.5 percent of voter support. In the June survey, the party gets 5.4 percent.

The moderates get 19.1 percent, a figure that is unchanged compared to the result of the 2022 parliamentary election.

The opposition is bigger than the Tidö parties

In this measurement, the Tidö parties (M, KD, L and SD) collect 45.7 percent of the total voter support.

The opposition (S, MP, V and C) gets 52.2 percent. The difference of 1.1 percentage point gives voters to parties that are not in the Riksdag.
