SVT: Swedish gang leader Kurdikettu arrested in Iran

The Swedish gang boss Kurdikettu ie Rawa Majid has been detained in Iran at the country’s border. The Swedish public broadcasting company SVT reported on the matter based on their own sources.

According to SVT, the arrest would have taken place on Friday. According to SVT, the Swedish police has received information about the matter through unofficial channels, but has not received confirmation of the matter from the Iranian authorities.

SVT bases its information on an “independent source” who has “accurate information about the internal conflict of the Foxtrot gang”.

Majid was born in Iraq and grew up in Uppsala. Since 2018, he has been living in exile in Turkey. Majid is believed to lead the Swedish street gang Foxtrot from there.

Foxtrot has been in the headlines recently, when internal disagreements within the gang have erupted into visible violence in Swedish cities.

Majid has been imprisoned in Sweden in absentia several times. For example, in September he was imprisoned on suspicion of a serious drug crime.
