The Swedes really love “Master of Masters” on SVT.
And the new season is truly masterfully good television.
That’s why it’s time to shut down everyone’s favorite programs.
The new season of “Master of Masters” really lives up to the high expectations. SVT has promoted the sixteenth season as the toughest ever and the presenter Mike Leijnegard happy to repeat it in all episodes.
SVT has succeeded
With large icons like Anja Pärson and Tony Rickardssonmixed with unique winning skulls that Sebastian Larsson, Joel Lundqvist and Johanna Ahlm as well as this year’s new viewer favourite Johanna Davidsson has SVT really managed to top the competition in the best way in Catalonia.

After a few half-tired years, in 2022 above all, with different group games and the much-criticized “Master’s Qualifier”, the program has found its way back to what everyone loves. So far, every competition in the first three episodes has been a real battle and the contestants have taken the challenges very seriously.
“Superb”
This year’s season is masterfully good and for the first time in many years it is extremely difficult to predict who will win the entire competition. In contrast to previous years when big names like Nils van der Poel, Peter Forsberg, Magdalena Forsberg and Ingemar Stenmark been obvious from day one, there are 4-5 potential final winners in this super gang.
This is precisely why it will be so incredibly exciting to continue following the drama every Sunday evening right up until mid-April. But despite the fact that it is full of winners’ skulls who had sacrificed body parts to win games on television, you are also taken by the incredibly good atmosphere in the house.

Sebbe and Joel have found a friendship for life and the final dinner of the evening would have liked to have lasted many more minutes of air time. This season really has it all and will also go down in history as one of the very best editions of the Champions of Champions.

This is precisely why the worry grows within one. Because how is SVT really going to be able to top this next year? How will they be able to find a better collection of athletes for a new season when they have already vacuumed the Swedish sports elite since 2009.

When you think about it, this is the perfect finale for everyone’s favorite show on television, anything else after this rock solid season will come off as milkshakes. Therefore, SVT should shut down Mästarnas mäster after the season finale this year, even if it hurts my heart to write those very words.
