The United States is today the world’s largest oil producer, and the oil fields in Texas form a central part of the industry, with over 40 percent of the country’s total production.
During his election campaign, President-elect Donald Trump has promised increased oil production, deregulation, and pushing down oil prices. But with US oil production already at record levels, questions are being raised about what effect this will have.
– We are happy to have Trump, but for the oil and gas industry it doesn’t really matter that much. We have reached record levels in production even under Biden, says oil producer Kyle McGraw.
