Iran’s attack is said to be a response to an earlier attack on its consulate in Damascus.
99 percent are said to have been stopped
Despite being over a thousand kilometers away, hundreds of Iranian drones and robots managed to reach Israel, but the country claims to have stopped 99 percent of them with the help of its own air defenses and support from the United States, Britain and France. Jordan also reported repulsed drone attacks.
According to the Israeli military, some locations inside the country were hit by ballistic missiles, including the Nevatim military base. However, the impact caused minor damage according to reports from Sunday.
A large number of clips purportedly showing the shooting down of robots are circulating on social media. SVT has not yet verified these films.
