Växjö’s Marcus Sylvegård is in fine scoring form and tops the SHL’s scoring league with twelve goals.
The 24-year-old’s development has surprised SVT’s expert Jonas Andersson. According to The Express several clubs in the NHL show interest in the Tre Kronor-merited forward. Sylvegård himself takes the NHL rumors in stride.
– I will try to win SM gold with Växjö. The second one I’m screwing up right now.
Do you sometimes wonder if you have the qualities that are enough even in the world’s best league?
– People question me if I can play in the SHL. I refute this. It is clear that there is a difference up to the NHL. But it’s not something I’m focusing on right now, I have to take it then and there.
Jonas Andersson appreciates Sylvegård’s hard work and play along the edges, but is doubtful about whether the forward is suitable for the NHL.
