Now SVT expert Anders Blomquist gives the biggest tribute.

The World Cup in cross-country skiing is over for this season and it is time to sum up the Swedish efforts in the tracks. For the men, there have been few blue-yellow joys after another poor season.
Myhlback’s success
There has been an occasional podium here and there for the Swedish men’s national team. The expectations have not been very high either, but one would probably have expected more from the WC bronze hero William Poromaa and the sprint talent Edwin Anger.

The big exclamation point has instead been the 17-year-old super talent Alvar Myhlback and what he has achieved alongside the World Cup. The world’s eyes are on the young Swede, who is predicted to have a brilliant future, and he did not disappoint during the past winter either.
Blomquist pays tribute
Only 17 years old, he has made his World Cup debut, won double JVM gold against skaters two years older and surprised everyone with a very impressive third place at the Vasaloppet during the past season.
