SVT A Russian attack on Sweden cannot be ruled out

The new security policy report is a strong message to Russia, says SVT’s source.

According to Sweden’s new security policy report, a Russian military attack on Sweden cannot be ruled out. The Swedish public broadcasting company reported on the matter on Sunday SVTwho has been involved in making the report.

According to the report to be published on Monday, a Russian attack on Sweden, for example by air or sea, cannot be ruled out, even though Russia’s ground forces are tied to Ukraine, writes SVT, referring to sources involved in the report.

– The report is a clear message to Russia. The regulations it contains are sharper than ever before, says one of the authors of the report.

The Parliament’s report will be published at a press conference on Monday morning.

– Russia has lowered its threshold for the use of military force and has a great desire to take political and military risks. Russia’s ability to carry out attacks using the air force, navy, long-range weapons and nuclear weapons against Sweden still exists, a source tells SVT.

According to SVT, the report outlines a new kind of defense doctrine for Sweden, which is based on the country’s defense as a NATO country.
