It was on the morning of December 4, 2023 that Spanish police together with agents from the US IRS raided the home of Olof K Gustafsson in Marbella. The team slammed the door, Olof and his wife laid Svetlana Gustafsson on the floor and handcuffed Olof.
They then went through the house for six hours and confiscated everything from cash, watches and phones.
Since then, Olof K Gustafsson has been in custody in Spain, awaiting trial. In an interview with Svenska Dagbladet, he said that he risks extradition to the United States, and if that happens and he is convicted of the crimes he is suspected of, he has a long prison sentence to look forward to.
– The US is looking for me and has requested my arrest via Interpol. They suspect me of 35 counts of international money laundering and 41 counts of money laundering. The extraordinary thing is that the potential sentence is 2050 years in prison, Gustafsson added Swedish daily newspaper.

Swede Olof K Gustafsson has been CEO of the company Escobar Inc. since 2014. The business consists of managing drug kingpin Pablo Escobar’s brand, and his brother Roberto Escobar stands as the owner of the company.

How rich Olof K Gustafsson really is – it is something that has long been speculated about. In an interview with News24 he told me in January 2023 that he actually stopped counting his money.
– I really do not know. When I didn’t have money, that’s when I counted money. I remember when I was poor and had nothing. I continued counting money when I started getting money rolling. Then I sat with Excel sheets and had this Swedish mentality that I wanted to know my net worth, he told Nyheter24 and continued:
– But then when I was like 20, before I started working with Pablo Escobar, then my net worth exceeded approximately 1.8 million dollars, I think. Then I stopped counting because it just became traditional. It wasn’t that exciting for me. So I don’t actually know how much money I have, he said then.
Svetlana about Olof K Gustafsson: “He is strong”
Olof K Gustafsson and his wife Svetlana met in Dubai, and have today been married for five years. Their daughter is four years old today.
In an interview with Aftonbladet, Svetlana says that Olof is currently in solitary confinement, and she also claims that Olof has been abused by guards in the prison. This must be the reason why Olof K Gustafsson has now started a hunger strike.

Svetlana describes life as a “roller coaster” at the moment, but she still sees the future brightly.
– He is strong and he will fight. The situation obviously feels tough right now, but our family will get through this, says Svetlana to Aftonbladet.
That Svetlana would be a “golddigger” or “happiness seeker” is something she herself denies. Svetlana comes from a well-to-do Russian family and, according to her own statement, has “more than enough” to get by without Olof’s money.
For Svetlana, it’s about the fact that she has simply found her soulmate, as she calls him.
– I fall more in love with him with each passing day, says Svetlana to Aftonbladet.

In the interview with Aftonbladet, Svetlana says that she no longer feels safe in Marbella. Now Svetlana dreams of going back to Sweden, and of settling down with her family – daughter and husband Olof – in the Stockholm suburb of Ekerö. It was there that Olof was born on May 14, 1993.
– I have also changed now. Before, I want a big city and that there were things happening all the time. Now I feel that Ekerö would be perfect. It is calm and quiet and you can sleep undisturbed, Svetlana adds The evening paper.
