“I, Sven-Göran Svennis Eriksson, have chosen due to health problems – which are under investigation – to limit my public assignments for the time being. Now I focus on health, family and limited assignments for, among other things, Karlstad Football. I thank you for all the support from friends and football contacts and ask you to respect my decision and my privacy,” says Eriksson himself in a statement to, among others, TT.
The announcement is also confirmed by his current club Karlstad Fotboll. Eriksson has been the sports director of the division 1 club since last year.
Eriksson’s lawyer, Anders Runebjer, tells TT that Eriksson does not want to comment further on his state of health.
