Sven-Göran Eriksson is ill with cancer
At the beginning of 2024, Svennis told us that he had tragically suffered from an incurable form of cancer. That’s what he told P1.

Svennis says that he doesn’t like to plan the future too much. Despite that, he has come out with how he wants his funeral to be.

Svennis has received many reactions and well wishes since he confirmed that he was ill. One player who made a nice and selfless gesture was the former star player David Beckham. Beckham flew all the way to the Värmland forests to visit his old coach.

Does Svenni have children?
Sven-Göran Eriksson has two children with his ex-wife Anki Eriksson Graves, Lina and Johan Eriksson.
Lina was born in 1987 and Johan was born in 1979.
What are Sven-Göran Eriksson’s children Lina and Johan doing today?
Lina works as HR manager at the Red Cross in Stockholm. Johan has followed in his father’s footsteps and works in football, as an agent. Johan lives with his wife and children in the Spanish city of Malaga, according to Nerikes Allehanda.

Svennis’ daughter Lina spoke out about her father’s interview in the documentary “Svennis: Arrivederci Italien” in SVTaccording to The Express.
– I think our strength is that we stick together as a family. That we are with dad as much as we can, support him and be close to him during these trips. There are fantastic accolades he receives all over Europe. Not many get it while they are alive, most get it after they pass away. It’s amazing.
Johan says the following to SVT:
– It is a new situation for us to deal with. We know there is not much time left, but he is still here. And we can talk to him, have dinner with him, everything is as it was. He might be a little slower in the gym. But he’s still here. It’s like preparing for something you can’t prepare for. Even if you know that the day when he is no more will come, it will hit hard then.
